On April 21st, I had the honor of reading some of poetry from my book Crap Shoot. It was Open Mic night at The American Legion Post 119 in Estes Park, Colorado. April is National Poetry Month, and April 21st is World Poetry Day.
I'd never read any of my stuff aloud before, so it was an interesting experience. Several people laughed, many clapped, and I even heard a couple of groans. All in all, it was great, and I hope to do it again.
